Here is a picture I had to do for my "humor" class. This is a great example of the how pointless SVA is sometimes. I mean here I am in my senior year, everything I do should be for my portfolio, but come on what can I do with this. So overall it was a waste of time............enjoy?

Another week. Here is the last post colored. As always it didn't go over well in class which I should expect by now. I swear everytime I think I have a project nailed I go into the crit and it get's ripped to sheds. There was a point were the teacher just said, "does anyone find anything funny about this picture?" which was followed by dead silence. Everytime it just makes me wonder if I should even be doing this.....

Finally it's inked. I really can't stand the scanner here at school. They never clean the damn thing and if you try to wipe it yourself they yell at you. So this adds like an extra hour of photoshop work just to clean off all the dust and dirt then clean up the inks ARGH!!! Sorry went off on a rant but here it is I'll have colors for it soon.

I realized today that I haven't drawn a superhero in almost ten years don't ask me why I just haven't so I got a free comic today (Red Robin #1) and I figured I would give it a try cause I thought his costume was cool. Not to happy with how it came out (that right arm is just funky) but whatever. I think I'm going to draw a different hero or villian every day this week to try and get back into the swing of it.

So yeah it's 3:00AM and here I am doing the post. I guess this means I failed in posting everyday but the way I look at it is I haven't gone to bed yet so it's still Monday. I'll post again before Midnight tomorrow/today. Anyway here we go I just kinda drew this no story behind it soooo yeah. Anyway I don't really like how it came out (where do they have doors that big?) but it's a post so I'll try again tomorrow. Avatar is half way inked I'm shooting for posting that on Thursday. THE PLAN!!

Ok so here I am my last year of school. I had my portfolio class with Becky Cloonan today. And she basically said we should update our shit everyday so that's what I'm going to do. The plan is no matter what I'll put something new up Monday-Friday.
But since it has been awhile I'll post 3 pics. The first is a inked page I had in laying around that I kinda like. The second is a doodle I did in my classes today. And the third is...I guess you would call it a pin-up of the characters from Avatar the last airbender which I've been working on and off this past week. I plan on posting the inks next week.

So I haven't drawn a single "comic" all summer cause all I do now is draw in my sketch book I don't really see the point of drawing comics when my skills aren't good enough yet so that is how I have spent my summer honing the skills...yo. Anyway I'm posting a comic I did for a final project at the end of my junior year It's kinda odd. Basically there are only Two words per panel, each word is only two syllables and each letter of the alphabet is only used twice as the first letter of a word example (Zombie and Zipper) it's kinda confusing but it's really fun to do.

As a sub note to all that, there is a comic I did in my first year of school that is a semi-prequel to this one where the boy meets the big fluff ball thing and the "princess" and that one was only one, one syllable word per panel with each letter only used once. This second one falls into the Ray V.S. Tom series of comics I'm trying to put together. It should be clear what the trick is to this one. And yes this is a true story unlike the hulk one that never happened to us. Oh and I also know that I don't look like me in these comics I don't know why I do that. Maybe I just really want to look like that I don't know

So yeah it's been way to long since my last post sorry about that. Here is some comics I've been working on the first is a comic based on a word ladder(Push, Hush, Husk, Hulk,Hull, Pull)

Then this one is a rework of the same comic with rules given to me by a fellow student which were..

1. Don't mention anything marketable like a game or the hulk.

2. Have whats going on not take place in any physically real setting

3. any and all humans in the comic must be nude females with no "nudity" showing.

just so we are clear THE NUDE FEMALES WASN'T MY IDEA!

I kinda feel this was a waste in a portfolio sense, but whatever. I still need to figure out how I want females to look in my work anyway, so it was good for that. More comics later in the week.

So here's this week's comic as I warned everyone it makes very little or no sense. For the record the artwork DOES get crapper on purpose. Once again I was trying to be artsy fartsy and fell flat. I figured the crappy work would reflect the idea of the narrative but.....it didn't (according to everyone that read it anyway). So I noticed I'm not keeping my word about posting art everyday and for that I'm sorry but I will say that my children's book class is finally picking up so there will be more than just a weekly comic also the paper that I work on just doesn't fit in my scanner so I am working it's just I'm to lazy to make it work. So it's been a couple of days since I posted stuff. But I have been working. I was trying out a new way of working where I draw every panel on tracing paper first then transfer it on the the final bristol page. I really can't scan the tracing paper so I couldn't post any roughs and my thumbnail pages were just....crazy. Anyway here is the comic I did for class this week, I didn't write this one a girl I have class with, Lydia wrote it. I wrote a story also but everyone in the class had to swap, so here it is. Page one is kinda crazy it has something like 27 panels (if you count the inset panels) that was my call I just want to see if I could do it. Again I'm kinda happy with this one I just feel like I'm not firing on all cylinders yet. I kinda feel my inking is holding me back too, like it's two totally different styles or something I don't know. Oh I put up a comic I did at the end of last year also only because it didn't make it into my mini comics from last year. enjoy.

Well here it is fully inked I finished this last night at 4:30 AM sorry that I didn't post it till now

I'm happy with how this turned out being the first one of the year there's a few hic-ups but that just getting the summer rust off. I going to figure out how (if I can) post bigger images cause you can't really read it. Also I didn't realize I was doing this comic so close to Sept 11 like I knew it was coming but I didn't realize what I was doing if that makes any sense.
